In the Bioshock movie directed by Guillermo Del Toro, the story follows a man named Jack as he travels to the underwater city of Rapture, a utopia built by the brilliant but disturbed Andrew Ryan. As Jack explores the city, he discovers that it has been ravaged by civil war and the citizens have been mutated into grotesque monsters as a result of their experimentation with a substance called ADAM.
As Jack navigates the dangerous and surreal world of Rapture, he encounters a variety of characters, including the manipulative Dr. Brigid Tenenbaum, the deranged artist Sander Cohen, and the power-hungry businesswoman Sofia Lamb. Along the way, Jack learns the truth about his own past and the role he plays in the downfall of Rapture.
