Hobocop is a 1990 science fiction action film directed by Paul Verhoeve. The movie tells the story of a homeless man, John, who is chosen to become the new Robocop, a robotic law enforcement officer. With the help of a scientist, John is given a high tech suit of armor and a cybernetic brain that allow him to fight crime. As Hobocop, John must battle the forces of evil and protect the citizens of Detroit from danger. Along the way, he discovers alcohol, drugs, and what it means to be human. With his new found addictions, he eventually starts to live on the streets instead of cleaning them up. Can Hobocop turn himself around and save the city and himself?
