The Terminator, directed by Fritz Lang (1924)

Set in the dark and gritty world of industrializing Germany in 1924, a cyborg is sent back to the past to kill a young woman who is destined to become a leader of the future resistance. As the cyborg begins to hunt her down, the woman is aided by a mysterious private detective in a race against time to stay alive and fulfill her destiny. Through a series of thrilling action sequences and tense suspenseful scenes, the detective and the woman must not only evade the cyborg but also find a way to send it back to the future before it can complete its deadly mission.
